If you have read Sharing Heaven with Mom, then you will know that there is a key life question in the book in the Palate Cleanser Course that raises the fundamental question of life and religion, why do innocent children die of terminal illnesses if there is a caring and loving God? This is an age-old problem which Steve provides an answer to which is based on his near-death experience and other spiritual experiences.
Steve wants to make a difference to the lives of those suffering from terminal illness by providing a shortened age-appropriate book that will help children dealing with one of the greatest challenges for all of us, mortality.
His vision to to provide a simplified book, free of charge, to those families. He believes has the hope that it will make an important difference to those children, especially to those without the support of a formal religion.
Steve is asking people to get involved and help be a part of achieving this aim. It is the early stages and there are many areas that Steve will need your support:
- Contact with hospital staff dealing with terminally ill children to get advice about the way to approach this. I really need to determine the best way to let these families know that there is a free book that could potentially help their child have the hope for what comes.
- Help with logistics and distribution. If this is successful, then I will need help from people getting copies of the books distributed to those who request it. Requests may come from all over the world.
- Help in developing the book by offering to proof-read and/or make suggestions.
- Ideas about how to gain funding to be able to distribute the new book free of charge to those who want it. I will open up a ‘go fund me’ page, but I first want to ensure that I can reach those families and thus deliver on this vision.
